Dear All,

I just started evaluating RosarioSIS and really impressed with it. But I was not able to evaluate if the below 2 features are available out of the box or through some configuration, requesting some help regarding this:

If I add new students to a grade, lets say Class 6th, then how can I make sure the student is automatically enrolled in all the courses for that grade level. I know this can be done manually but wanted to check if there is an automated way.
How can I aggregate the grades received throughout the year e.g. all the grades received during Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4 are consolidated and shown on the report card generated for each student, depending upon the weightage criteria of that grade period.

Hello webmasterhmj

No, there is no automated way to enroll students of a grade level into courses.
You can use the Scheduling > Group Schedule program, select the Grade Level:

Then the Choose a Course link allows you to add 1 or more Courses:

Do you mean a Full Year grade which is calculated and weight? Have you tried setting Final Grade Percentages for each marking period (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) using the Grades > Configuration program?

Then, when using the Input Final Grades program for your Full Year marking period, you just have to click on the Use Gradebook grades to automatically calculate the final grades based on those percentages.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I was able to get past the issue and and able to set the grading system using the assignments.

However, there is one issue I am facing. I am getting the totals in terms of GPA only on the report card. We have a need to display the total/average in terms of points only and not in terms of GPA
e.g. if I have Maths and English as courses with scores as 80/100 and 85/100, respectively. Then I need the last row/somewhere in the report card to show as 160/200 as final score. Is this possible out of the box?

To have a Final Grade on 200 points, you would have to create a Grading Scale with 200 points.
You can create as many Grading Scales you need. Just associate the right one to the right Course Period.
