Hello, and thanks for making RosarioSIS open source

To make a short intro, we don't have general grades so to speak but we grades per module.
Students first choose their courses and then can progress differently on different courses.
For example a student could move up to the next grade in Mathematics at the end of the year but not in History.

We tried to replicate that using a school in Rosario for a module. The problem is that a student can only see the first school he first joined. We would like to know if it is possible for students and staff to see the different schools. What an administrator should do for that to happen ?

You can set which schools a user can access from the Users > User Info screen.
But a student can only be enrolled in a single school.

That being said, there is no limitation to having a student taking the same course (History in your example) for next year.
Grade Levels are not linked to courses.

Great ! thanks for the info.

So regarding my case, would the following solution work ?
- Only one school
- Only one default grade level
- One Rosario Subject per internal Module
- One Rosario Course per internal Module Level

I tried it and it seems to work on my side but we want to launch a whole school with this system so having your feedback would be great

Yes, this solution should work.
I advise you to set up a test RosarioSIS instance with at least 3 students and courses to go through this setup and Rollover, so you can fully understand your process in regard to how RosarioSIS works.
Having only 1 Grade Level, on the School > Grade Levels screen, you can choose this same Grade Level under "Next Grade":

so students will automatically "retail" by default (Next Grade at current school) after Rollover, see the "Rolling / Retention options":

Made it work but students lose the courses they were subscribed in. It's not what we want from it but I guess it's normal. Maybe I could develop something custom in that way

Yes, after rollover, you'll have to re-enroll students in their respective courses.
That being said, the Group Schedule program and its "Last Year Course" widget comes in handy to select students based on their last year enrollments.
