I have a bizarre question... is there anyway to change where the program saves uploads to? I am referring to the 'FileUploads' folder located in the 'Assets' folder. Is there anyway to save these on another file server?

Just concerned about space in the long run.

Yes, see the $FileUploadsPath config variable.

But please note the files should still be accessible from http://yourdomain.com/your/path/to/file/uploads/
So if the uploaded files are on another server, you may have to do a symlink or a mount, or an alias in the vhost, or a redirection as you prefer.
Never tried it myself, good luck!

Note: those are just suggestions, and I do not guarantee they will work in your case.
You may even not have to change the $FileUploadsPath var to do that.
